GIRLS MENTORSHIP

In-school girls in grades 9 through 12 who are also from low-income homes are the focus of WHAE’s Girls Mentorship Program. The program's objectives are to close the knowledge gap among young girls regarding reproductive health, boost their academic performance, lower their school dropout rates, bring about behavior change, and encourage peer support. WHAE supports girls in Addis Ababa (Gulele sub-city), and Chancho, Mekele and Hagere Selam (the work in the latter two regions has been halted due to the security situation in the regions.
